Is there a new hero class in Cataclysm?
No.
Why not?
Because Blizzard decided not to add one. They said they are going to switch out adding races and classes, adding 2 races one expansion and a hero class the next (they don't have to follow through with this). This time they added 2 new races, and I am personally glad they did.
They can't add both because one or the other would be tremendous amounts of work. New races require entire new zones, a presence in the faction past the start zone, and minor balancing of racials. New hero classes require a minor starting zone and a huge amount of balancing.
Will there be a new neutral capital city in Cataclysm?
No, but I have heard that Deepholme will have an area that has portals to every major city in the game. I do not have any further details and I cannot confirm this 100% yet. I am sure it won't be a capital city though,
wow gold just there for convenience.
Will there be any new racial capital cities (worgen, goblin, troll, and gnome) in Cataclysm?
So far, everything points to no for full-scale massive racial capital cities.
The Gilneas would-be capital city is a battleground, and Greymane City is little more than a town. The worgen have a district in Stormwind.
The goblins have crashed onto the Island, and again they haven't had the time nor the resources to make a capital city. Just a makeshift town. The goblins have a district in Orgrimmar.
The gnomes might be taking back Gnomeregan, but I am not convinced it will be a full-fledged Capital city. The trolls might be doing the same with the echo Islands.
The real reason that new capital cities aren't likely, however, is because whether we want to accept it or not, they are mostly wasted resources and effort. Look at the Exodar.. it's barely ever visited. Can you imagine how little Gnomeregan or Echo Islands would be visited past the initial "Wow!"? This is the simple but sad truth of things.. but fear not! Large racial 'capital towns' are still a very good thing! And I certainly could be wrong.. this is mostly educated guesses and speculation at this point.
Stay tuned for more information on this.
Will Heirloom items work after 80?
Yes, but they will be capped at level 80. You will not gain the +10% experience bonus, either, once you reach level 81.
Why aren't blood elves druids (instead of trolls)?
Lorewise, the blood elves have gone a different path than the night elves have. They do not want to be druids, they made that clear when they left Kalimdor thousands of years ago. The fact that there is a druid trainer in Silvermoon is almost meaningless since said druid trainer is a tauren.
On the other hand, while trolls are not druids, they have been shapeshifting and revering animal spirits since before the Night elves even existed. Trolls were the better choice for the Horde.
Gameplay mechanically, there appears to be a cap of 8 classes per race. Blood elves have reached this cap, and druids are one of the two least viable class choices, and as such druids are not currently an option.
Are old races' models being redone?
No, and Blizzard does not plan to do so. Not yet, anyways.
What will happen to Outlands in Cataclysm?
Probably nothing unless Blizzard says otherwise.
What will happen to Northrend in Cataclysm?
Probably nothing unless Blizzard says otherwise.
Who is the big boss of Cataclysm?
What? It's not obvious? Deathwing, of course! Not Azshara, not any Old Gods or anything else. Just a gigantic, massive molten black dragon with claws more than three times the size of a full-grown male tauren! Is that not intimidating enough? :)
Who will the faction leaders of the goblins and worgen be?
Worgen is a given... Genn Greymane, of course.
Oddly enough, the very Trade Prince that betrayed his people multiple times, Gallywix, is going to be the faction leader for the goblins. No one has said it's going to stay this way forever, though...
Will goblins and worgen get to be death knights on Cataclysm's initial release?
Blizzard has changed their stance on this; yes, you will be able to make goblin and worgen death knight at the start of the game.
Will any old achievements become feats of strength?
Yes. For a fact, we know world explorer and loremaster will become feats of strength (with new versions added). I am not sure if you will be able to keep your titles or not.
How will haste benefit enhancement shamans and retribution paladins?
I believe Blizzard said that haste will effect these two classes through talents. Even if they didn't, this will probably be what happens. Haste for other melee classes improved energy regeneration. It seems likely that it would do the same for shamans and retribution paladins.
Is Danath Trollbane taking back Stromgarde for the Alliance?!
I hope so. Unfortunately all we have is speculation right now, not even any rumors that support it. It's possible but.. that's about it. Unless Blizzard says otherwise this is all we can hope for right now.
Will you be able to access the original (current, as of 3.2) old world content of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms in Cataclysm?
No.
Will you be able to race-change into Worgen, Goblins, or new race-class-combos?
Blizzard has said they won't allow it initially because they don't want the race-changed player to be the first 85, but I'd expect them to allow race-changes to them within 2 months of release.
So yes, but not at first.
